Custom Feather Flags for Car Dealerships

By Expressions Displays & Flags. Content checked 2026-10-29.

Choose a dealership feather flag by the viewing location, available space, message and mounting surface—not height alone. Match the print sidedness to the directions customers approach, then select a compatible pole and base. Review local requirements and site access before deciding where a flag can be placed.

What should a dealership flag say?

Give each flag one purpose: identify the dealership, point to the service entrance, or announce a specific approved offer. A logo and short message are easier to plan than a collection of inventory details. Keep offer wording current and have the dealership approve any conditions before printing.

Build the layout on the exact product template. Keep important words clear of the sleeve and finishing areas. Review a proof for spelling, logo orientation, contrast and the selected print construction; do not assume a layout made for a rectangular banner will fit a feather shape.

How do you choose a flag size for the lot?

Start with where the viewer stands or travels and the space the complete display can occupy. Expressions lists 7′ and 12′ Feather Wing Flag products, among other sizes. These are product names, not a guarantee of clearance or viewing distance at your property. Check the current dimensions and assembled configuration before ordering.

Walk the proposed position from the customer approach and from inside the lot. A larger display is not automatically the right choice beside parked vehicles, low overhead features or a narrow entrance. Compare a compact entrance display with a taller lot display using the actual site constraints.

Should messages read correctly from both approaches?

Single reverse printing has a mirrored back. It can suit a layout planned primarily for one viewing direction, but words on the reverse do not become independently readable text. Double-sided construction uses two printed panels with a light-blocking center layer.

The current 12′ Feather Wing Flag configurator offers Single and Double choices. Select the intended print option and check both proof orientations. If a particular size does not offer the construction you need online, ask for a quote rather than treating another size's choices as universal.

Where can flags be placed without obstructing the site?

Check applicable sign requirements, property permissions and any restrictions with the relevant authority or property manager. This guide does not establish local permissions. Keep flags, poles and bases out of traffic sightlines, pedestrian routes, accessible paths, doors and vehicle access points.

Allow for the complete display and its movement, not just the base footprint. Avoid contact with vehicles and overhead obstructions. Do not attach a free-standing flag to a car, fence or other structure without instructions for the specific mounting equipment.

Which hardware and cost factors belong in the order?

A suitable ground spike and a hard-surface base solve different installation problems. Confirm the mounting surface, pole connection and required ballast for the selected flag system. The current 12′ options distinguish flag-only, pole-only and pole/base combinations; not every configuration includes every component.

Obtain the actual configured price by choosing sidedness, hardware and quantity on the product page. Compare complete configurations, including any separately selected ballast, rather than comparing a replacement flag with an equipped display. Review shipping and any applicable order fees separately at checkout; ask for a quote when the required combination is not listed.

What dealership ordering mistakes should you avoid?

Before ordering, check these points with the person who will install and maintain the display:

Do not choose a tall display before checking clearance, permissions and sightlines.

Do not order mirrored-back printing while expecting independent readable wording on both faces.

Do not assume a flag-only purchase includes a pole, base or ballast.

Do not promise a campaign start date before confirming production and delivery for the actual order.

Will feather flags guarantee more dealership sales?

No sales or traffic result is guaranteed here. Choose a clear message and suitable placement, then evaluate the campaign using your own evidence rather than an invented performance statistic.

Can I reuse existing poles?

Possibly, but provide the existing pole model, connection and flag specifications for confirmation before buying a replacement. Similar-looking parts are not proof of compatibility.

What should I send for a dealership recommendation?

Send the proposed surface and location, usable space, viewing directions, desired message, quantity and required in-hands date. Add photos if you are authorized to share them, and identify any existing hardware.
